Things my grandma says

My mom got a yorkie his name is Prince. He has serious attachment issues and does not like doing anything on his own. You must hold him at all times, at absolutely no time may you put him down, he will cry and whimp on your legs... pick him up, and hold him as if you were burping a baby...
Me: Holding him like this all the time makes me want a baby
Grandma: And what will you do once the child gets too big to hold? 
Me: Give him to his father lol, I'm just kidding.
Grandma: (serious face)
Me: I don't want a real child! A dog like this is much easier and cheaper lol.
Grandma: Well you know, that the future Queen of England was 29 when she got married...

Opening Weekend

I am more than excited about Evangel Cathedral's Christmas Celebration 2011! I never thought I would share the same stage and minister with Bebe and Cece Winans, Donnie Mc Clurkin, Ty Tribbet, and other special guest. It is truly amazing how God works. For me it was a lesson in basic arithmatic. During rehearsals I noticed my 7th grade drama and choir teacher was the man who plays Jesus! Who would have ever known. When we sit back and think about the things we have gone through, the pain we have endured, and the outcome of still being here. We just did the math and got the answer!  That is enough to give praise to the Lord. He wants what is best for us and he is going to do it his way, we may not like it or understand it, but foundation is nothing more than a basic equation we must master and perfect. The sum of it all makes you feel good it may take years to get your answer just work at it :)

Doing without

For a long time I was starting to believe that I had a problem, moreso an addiction. Facebook was taking over my life, consuming my precious top of the hour minutes, with news feeds, and notification responses. My virtual love. Until I realized I was checking my ex's page 6 times a day and we weren't even friends what was the point? I asked myself. All I can see is a profile picture. I determined my  failure and decided to let go and let God deactivate! Remove myself from this land of narcisism and nosiness, I have concluded that is the purpose of social networking; to concern and include yourself into a digital land mine. I'm over it and I have to be honest I'm much happier.

Election Season

I despise presidential elections I understand we need them based on the foundations of our society but for a year we all have to listen to the b.s. these candidates say they are just people and I depend and put my trust in no man
